When the HSTPA was enacted in June 2019 it made drastic changes not only to the Rent Stabilization Law but also to the Real Property Actions and Proceedings Law and the Real Property Law, impacting non-payment proceedings in Housing Court. The changes affect rent stabilized apartments and non-regulated apartments, as well as commercial properties. This program will provide information on how to prepare for a non-payment case and what to do once you are in court. The program is designed for property owners and managers, and also their counsel.
