Tenants’ Response to Lead Paint Notices/ Window Guard Notices Due

If tenant does not return the notice by February 15 owners must begin to make attempts to inspect the apartment at “reasonable times” and with “reasonable notice” to determine if a child 5 years or younger (lead paint) or 10 years or younger (window guards) lives in the apartment. If there is no response by March 1, the owner must write to DOHMH documenting their efforts to gain access.
